After an endless road trip from Southern California to Philadelphia (and my A&P class and lab kicking my butt) we decided to just relax and hang out for a little while before doing any more exploring. We spent time with Kevin's brother and his family who lived just outside of the city and we went to their favourite spot Longwood Gardens. It was a nice relaxing time! Plus we love spending time with our niece and nephew.
The LDS chapel we went to church at in City Center (Downtown)
The new Philadelphia Temple was right across the street. It is so gorgeous inside, they designed it to blend in well with Philadelphia's prominent history in early America. Very early-post-colonial vibes.

First trip to New York! Being on the Northeast coast has its perks because of the proximity of the major cities. We LOVED NYC! We decided that we would could live there permanently... if only we had the money to do so haha.
We began by getting bagels in the morning because that was a MUST...and they definitely did not disappoint. We then visited the Natural History Museum (yup...the one from Night at the Museum!). It was pretty neat! We also hit some of the major sites like Times Square and Central Park as well as some authentic NY pizza! Overall, a wonderful day!

And now we're back to Philadelphia...the city of Brotherly love....of chicken wings...in the subway.

Exploring City Center on a hot, humid, and rainy Saturday
We didn't do too much else while I was busy finishing up my last semester of school. But next time I'll talk about our quick little trip to DC! And then more New York pictures because if you can't tell already I'm obsessed with that city.
